It is my great pleasure, on behalf of IIA Slovenia, to invite you to the 15th International Conference of IIA Slovenia, taking place on 21–22 May 2026 in Bled, Slovenia, with hybrid online participation also available.

This year’s conference is titled “From Compliance to Strategic Value: Internal Audit that Transforms Organizations.” With this theme, we wish to emphasize that modern internal auditing goes far beyond its traditional compliance-focused role. It is increasingly becoming a strategic partner in value creation, governance enhancement, risk oversight, and organizational transformation.

The conference program will bring together distinguished Slovenian and international speakers addressing some of the most relevant topics for our profession today: artificial intelligence, digitalization, data analytics, corporate governance, ethics and integrity, organizational culture, sustainability, and the growing importance of soft skills in internal auditing. I am confident that the conference will offer valuable professional insights, practical perspectives, and meaningful reflection on the future role of internal audit in a rapidly changing environment.

The conference is also an important opportunity for professional exchange, networking, and strengthening our international audit community. I am especially pleased that, once again, Bled will host renowned experts from Slovenia and abroad, creating a forum for substantive discussion on how internal audit can contribute even more effectively to resilient, well-governed, and successful organizations.
